Pray for America: 2 Chronicles 7:13-15

When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.

  • Pray for our country and for God to raise up godly leaders who will be strong and take a stand for truth.
  • Pray for the church to be awakened and stand firm in our beliefs and proclaim the true gospel boldly and lovingly.

  • Pray for the church to be a leader in racial reconciliation.

  • Pray for protection over the ministry of Lifeline.

  • Pray for Lifeline’s attorneys to have wisdom and discernment as they guide the ministry, the Adoptive Parents, and Birth Mothers.

  • Pray for wisdom to know how to navigate both emotionally and legally all parties involved in the adoption, including birth fathers.

  • Pray for birthmothers who feel anxious about the legal side of the adoption. Pray that they will continue to reach out and call Lifeline.

  • Pray for waiting families as they wait for God to bring children into their families.

  • Pray for the many families who have struggled with miscarriages and infertility.  Pray that they will not rush into adoption too quickly.

  • Pray for extended family, and friends to be a community of support for waiting couples as they wait and potentially hear lots of “no’s”

  • Pray that birth families will believe the gospel.

  • Pray for wisdom for the Lifeline team and our families to discern what level of openness is appropriate in each situation.

  • Pray for our team as we prepare families for openness. Pray that adopting families would desire to share the gospel with the birth family of their child.

  • Pray for the situations where the birth mother and the Adoptive Parents are not on the same page in the level of openness they desire.

Praises:

  • For the staff working with families in all of our domestic programs and states.

  • For the mission minded families that the Lord has brought to Lifeline who see the opportunity to share the Gospel.

  • For the increase in the number of women we have been able to minister to already this year.
