Birth Mother's Day

Herbie and Rick are joined by Lauren Eddie, Lifeline pregnancy counseling supervisor, and two birth mothers to talk about the significance of this day.
Lauren Eddie joined the Lifeline staff in January of 2018 as a pregnancy counselor. She’s originally from New Orleans, LA. She got her undergrad in social work at Mississippi College and then continued her education by attending The University of Alabama for grad school.

Birth mothers Amanda and Michelle talk about their experiences.

Herbie Newell is the President & Executive Director of Lifeline Children’s Services and its ministry arms.

Rick Morton is the Vice President of Engagement at Lifeline Children's Services.

The number of waiting children is growing, but finances can be a barrier to families answering the call to adopt. We are excited about the opportunity to offer a scholarship for families pursuing international adoption. Families who apply for a full international program between April 18 and May 31, 2022, are eligible for a scholarship, starting at $1,000. For alumni families, that’s in addition to the $300 alumni scholarship!  For more information, click here, email us at, or call 205-967-0811.

The mission of Lifeline Children’s Services is to equip the Body of Christ to manifest the gospel to vulnerable children. Our vision is for vulnerable children and their communities to be transformed by the gospel and to make disciples.
